1. What is EMD from the FSS?

EMD, Euskal Memoria Digitala or Basque Digital Memory is a free access database to promote Basque bibliographic heritage produced by the Sancho el Sabio Foundation (FSS). It started out as a collection of manuscripts and printed documents, fundamentally in the Basque language. Chronologically it covers from the 16th century up to 1939. Successively it has included new resources: maps, printed publications, etc. for consultation by the research community.
